Surprise Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to a surprise birthday party for a good friend. It was quite an event!
It was our friend’s 50th birthday party and was he ever surprised. There were 60 or so folks there at the party and when he drove up and saw the crowds, he looked like he was just going to die!
His wife told us that she felt like he could finally like her again, now that she didn’t have to maintain such a distance (and deceptions!) in order to keep him in the dark about the party.
All in all, it was very nice. There was good live music and lots to eat.
They are very dear friends and we are just so pleased that we were able to join them in celebrating such a milestone.
