Recovering NT Administrator’s password
I found the coolest tool for resetting the password on a Windows 2000/XP computer. It is a Linux boot CD with NTFS drivers in order to access the Windows partition. It opens the registry’s SAM file and can reset the password as well as reset the failed login attempts and unlock the account if it has been locked out. I had just recently formatted a PC that was no longer in use and forgot what I had made the Administrator’s password. This tool unlocked it in less than 2 minutes and was a breeze to use. It’s called Offline NT password and registry editor.
